MYLH’s re-entry/diversion program is designed to assist returning citizens successfully re-enter society after a period of incarceration in prison, camp, or jail (Also eligible parole/probation, diversion/sentencing alternative candidates, ages 18+).
A 52-week program, the evidence-backed Return to Royalty Endeavor provides a positive, non-punitive, rewards-based curriculum and support system that has an overall objective of counteracting the factors that lead to recidivism: discrimination, stigmatization, lack of aftercare or reintegration services, substance abuse, mental illness, negative peer influence, and low self-esteem.
The intended outcome is to produce rehabilitated, well-adjusted, healthy, and productive members of society. In addition to the holistic elements delineated in the QQI and WWC programs, RRE also hosts a weekly, synchronous, and moderated peer group for volunteer and court-ordered candidates.
Main goals of the program include but are not limited to: increased self-esteem and positive self-image, increased and improved economic literacy and competency, social viability, mental health/wellness progress with assigned therapist, job placement, GED scheduling, Trade School/Community College/University enrollment, progressively improved physical health.
